Produced 1995 to 1996. Sculpted be W R Bossons. Height 8 inches. One of the last models  to come from the Bossons factory

Saracen

Produced 1962  to 1969. Sculpted be Fred Wright. Height 8 inches. Series A Composite. There are two colour variations. Most have Yellow Turbans with silver helmets. There is also a slightly rarer version with White Turban and darker metallic coloured helmet under the Turban

'Bossons Ivorex' figurines included 7 known models - Little Neil, Oliver Twist, Mr Micawber, Mr Pickwick, Tony Weller and later discoveries were David Copperfield, Sairey Gamp and The Grandfather.

The detailing was not particularly good on these models.

The re-issued version a green hat and the original version has a blue hat with protruding staple wall hanger and recessed back.

Sherlock Holmes, Dr Watson & Moriarty form a set based on the characters in books written by by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Sherlock Holmes

Limited Edition Sherlock Holmes that was available  to IBCS members. Numbered and signed by Ray Bossons. Painted a lighter grey with a greyer hat.

The text on the rear reads - 'This model is no 80 of the first 350 character Head Studies of SHERLOCK HOLMES, especially reserved for members of the International Bossons Collectors Society. Signed, W. Ray Bossons BOSSONS Artware, England'

Sherlock Holmes Experimental version.

Rarity - Extremely Rare
                   

This model of Sherlock Holmes was never put in production. The model was sculpted in 1983 and is marked 'Sherlock Holmes 1983 Bossons England'. The production piece was sculptured in 1984. The complete model differs to the produced piece. The main difference is the hat, pipe, nose, collar, scarf and the facial feature is much older in appearance.

 

BOSSONS MARKS ON REVERSE OF THE MODEL DATED 1983 AND NOT THE USUAL 1984 WHICH WAS ON THE PRODUCTION MODEL
