Empress Place, Singapore

12 inch Circular plaque. Likely produced runs were  late 1940s to early 1950s. 1no known plaque presently located in Australia.

Located on the banks of the Singapore river the "Empress Place Building" is a Neoclassical structure named in honour of Queen Victoria. Designed by chief engineer Major McNair and built in 1865. Initially a courthouse and used as government offices in the 1960s. After a refurbishment it was introduced to the public in 1989. Premises now taken over by an art gallery, souvenir shops and eateries
