Backs of Bossons

Ring Fixing - This was the earliest fixing used by Bossons (used from 1959). The disadvantage with this type of fixing is it can be quite fiddly trying to get the ring onto the wall hanger.
Raised Staple - The 'Raised Staple' followed the 'Ring Fixing' (used from 1962 to 1966). This was an was easier means of attaching the Bossons to the wall. The disadvantage is that the Bossons is not flush to the wall.
Raised Staple with Recessed Back - The recessed back was used to reduce weight and save on plaster.
Recessed Staple - This was the final fixing used by Bossons (used from 1966). The advantage with this fixing is that the Bossons is flush with the wall. The disadvantage is that it easy to miss the staple and hang the model from the plaster above the staple. This is unsafe and has result in many Bossons falling off the wall.
Recessed Staple with Double Wire - As a general rule the double hanging wire was used from 1994 onwards, however there are some isolated examples of this double wire being used on earlier model such as Bargee dated 1988.
